New Home - Listening For Life Appeal
The Ear Trust continues to support YCIS and other units both inside and outside of the hospital. The Trustees would like to thank all who have helped with fund raising.
Listening for Life Appeal
The Ear Trust is coordinating a major fund raising drive to fund the development and equipping of a new home for YCIS. The new unit will be unique in its concept and design.
The Lord Mayor of The City Bradford dug the first sod on 21st February. Site clearance started in March and in May all the steel work has been erected.
The roof is planned for July and main build ready for completion in November. Fitting out the IT facilities will take us to Christmas. Hopefully we will move in in January '09
The RNID acknowledge that this is a unique concept. The YCIS supported by The Ear Trust has a pivotable role within Yorkshire and surrounding counties. We will be able to link health care with education and the community
The development will cost between £2.5 - £2.6 Million. As of May we have just over a million to raise.
