About YCIS Bradford

At the Yorkshire Cochlear Implant Service (YCIS) we strive to offer a flexible service guided by the individual needs of each adult or child.

In order to meet these needs YCIS is supported by a team of skilled professionals. Our Team includes:

Administrator

Consultant Ear, Nose and Throat (ENT) Surgeons

Service co-ordinator

Teachers of the Deaf

Speech and Language Therapists

Clinical Scientists (Audiology)

Family Liaison Officer

We also have access to:

Interpreters

Hearing Therapist

Clinical and Educational Psychologist

Radiography Department

The whole process of initial assessment, fitting the implant and rehabilitation involves the patient and their family working with the Team in a variety of settings including the hospital, home and for children the school too. This demands a high level of commitment from everyone involved.
