YCIS : About YCIS Sheffield
The aim of the Yorkshire Cochlear Implant Service in Sheffield is to provide a friendly and supportive service to adult cochlear implant patients in South Yorkshire as part of the Yorkshire Cochlear Implant Service in Bradford.
 We work closely with the team in Bradford to ensure good communications and care of patients. Following initial programming in Bradford we continue the intense rehab and programming at the Royal Hallamshire Hospital in Sheffield.
Having a team in the south of the region enables patients to reduce the travelling time for appointments. They also have immediate access to spares or replacement equipment and speech and language services. The Department offers a variety of other services including Tinnitus Therapy, Vestibular Assessment and Therapy, Stress Management and Psychological Assessment.
